I like the relaxing collectible nature. This feels like a game I could play a little every now and again, but for years!

I might make it into a real game if I have a chance :)

Going into the game I didn't think much, my expectations on the type of experience a game about swimming and talking to fish were pretty low. However after clocking in a solid 40 hours into the game I believe it is without exaggeration that Finding Fish is not only worth your time, but a strong contender for game of the year.

The open world is vibrant, with solid art direction and stunning visual fidelity I found myself lost in the beautiful open ended world of "The Ocean". I found myself swimming the across beautiful under water vistas, which is aided by the intuitive controls that really make you feel that you are a feesh swimming around the gorgeous aquatic scenery. With all 5 checkpoints bringing their own distinct visual presentation while still maintaining a strong sense of cohesion to not detract from the greater experience as a whole.

The main quest line is gripping and impactful, progressing through the story will never leave you with a dull moment and you will continue to be on the edge of your seat wondering if you, yes you, will ever finding fish.

But where the game stands out the most is when you stray from the intended path and interact with hang out with the plethora of interesting side characters. All flushed out with their own stories, trials and tribulations. As you spend time with them you can't help but forge a close bond with each and everyone of them. To learn and accept their flaws as they accept yours, which then reflect on the beauty of the world like how a fisherman sees their reflection on the water, seeing how their experiences have formed them to the point where they stand. This surreal approach is handled perfectly, eventually paying of near the end and makes you pause and reflect on your own personal experiences.

    Blub-blub is my waifu.
